An engineer named Ravin reunites with his college friends in Kolkata after several years. During their get-together, the topic of marriage comes up, prompting Ravin—encouraged by a friend—to register on the matrimonial site Shaadi.com. Soon, he receives a message from Khushi, and they strike up a conversation that quickly blossoms into a deep connection.

Despite having never met in person, Ravin and Khushi share their thoughts, dreams, and laughter across phone calls and messages. Their emotional intimacy grows steadily, bridging the physical distance between them.

When Ravin needs to travel to the United States for work, he decides to fly out of Delhi to meet Khushi in person before departure. Their first meeting is warm, emotional, and confirms that their love is real. Over time, both families become aware and supportive, and they officially fix their engagement date—Valentine’s Day, February 14—symbolizing romance and commitment.

Tragically, just days before their engagement, Khushi is involved in a serious road accident. Ravin rushes to the hospital, praying desperately, but despite all efforts, Khushi passes away. Her death shatters Ravin’s world. He is left with survivor’s guilt and immense grief, summarizing his anguish in poignant words: “She died. I survived. Because I survived, I die every day.”
